We’re all very excited that for the first time ever the St Kilda Esplanade Market will be taking applications for food stalls. We think it’s going to be a great addition to the market.
If you would like to apply for a food stall or know someone who would be interested let them know that applications are open now online.
You can apply for either a casual or a permanent stall so there’s plenty of flexibility.
We pride ourselves on being a ‘makers’ market’ and we’ll be looking for food stall applicants who fit the bill on this as well. This means that the food product must be produced by the primary stallholder - either grown, processed or baked and it needs to be packaged or suitable to take home rather than eaten at the market.
The sorts of food that we’re thinking would work well are honey and honey products, jams and preserves, marinades and chutneys, specialty teas and coffees, nuts, dried fruit, olives, oils and vinegars, confectionary including nougat, fudge and the like, specialty baked goods including cakes, breads, and biscuits, muesli, hand-made dried pasta and sauces, health goods, home-made dog treats and specialty goods. If you think this is you we’d love to hear from you.
All of the information about the process and the criteria is online.
Applications are due by 15th of every month. Download the application form to apply to become a food stallholder.
