Congratulations everyone, we have made it through the challenges of winter and are finally in the busy summer season. I’m sure you are looking forward to the sunshine and this Sunday 1 December promises to be a gorgeous 30 degrees. Bring your friends and family along and enjoy the sun, sea and shopping.
I have some sad news for the Market family – the end of December will see us farewell Matt Irwin photography at stall #1. I’d like to thank him for being part of the Market for so long and for bringing his expertise every week. I remember my first Matt Irwin photos purchased in 1998! Please make sure you visit Matt before he finishes up at the end of Dec.
Returning this weekend are Joys of Redhill at stall #152 please pay them a visit and take home some of their Jams, jellies, sweet & savoury sauces, chutney, pickles relishes, vinegars, quince paste, and preserved lemons.
Festive cheer at the Market – on the 8 December we will have the St Kilda community choir, St Kilda Sings, join us to sign carols at the Clock Tower. St Kilda Sings is part of Creativity Australia’s With One Voice choir program. The choir rehearses every Monday under the musical direction of the fabulous and well-loved conductor Jolene Moran from 6.15 to 7.30pm at the Salvation Army Chapel (12B Chapel Street, St Kilda), followed by a shared supper. There are no auditions and no singing experience is necessary! Their first set will be at 1pm and second set at 1:40pm, please stop and enjoy their lovely melodies.
Don’t forget we are open every Sunday of the year from 10am to 5pm. We’re sure you’ll find that perfect gift for that special someone.
There are lots of ways to stay in touch with us and keep up to date with what’s going. Don’t be shy – like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter, Instagram, hashtag #espymarket. If you’re not on social media that’s fine too, you can contact us via our website.
