In our latest stallholder profile we talked to Chris Farrell of Fazshot.
Chris is a pretty busy man it seems, combining a hectic job as a building inspector with his passion of photography.
He says he enjoys balancing the two quite different occupations though. As a building inspector Chris works on some of the largest projects in Victoria like the Melbourne Zoo and the Eureka Tower. As a photographer Chris has focused on taking aerial photographs across Victoria – it’s quite a combo.
Chris has to get up in a plane to take his unique aerial photos which means he gets a really unique perspective. So far Chris has taken photos of the entire Victorian coastline and this year captured some great images of the Southern Right Whales and their calves. (You can see one of these images below.)
Chris’s photography business goes hand in hand with his other passion – wildlife and nature. He is a member of the WWF and puts his money where his mouth is by donating 10% of all his sales to them.
The St Kilda Esplanade Market suits Chris and his business perfectly with many of his images capturing St Kilda and Port Phillip Bay. He also appreciates that the St Kilda Esplanade Market is one of the last solely craft markets.
Chris is a local resident so setting up a stall at number 126 on the Esplanade was a logical step for his business. Make sure you drop by any Sunday to see Chris and have a look at his photographs.
