Well I know we were all welcoming the summer weather but this week has just been way too hot. If you have been staying indoors like many Melbournians, you’ll be pleased to know that the weekend is cooling down to a more manageable 25°C. So if you want something different to do this Sunday, come on down to St Kilda and visit us on the Upper Esplanade. The St Kilda Esplanade Market is an inspiring weekly destination for Melbournians and tourists alike. Set against the iconic backdrop of St Kilda Beach, this vibrant makers’ market features over 120 unique stalls of hand crafted artwork, wood products, jewellery, accessories and more. Now offering artisan foods such as local honey, organic breads, nuts, jams and more.
There are plenty of fun and things to do and see in St Kilda, located only 6km from the city center and easy tram ride to our gorgeous beaches, palm-lined streets, great restaurants and of course the colourful St Kilda Esplanade Market - open 10am to 5pm every Sunday of the year except for the St Kilda Festival Sunday.
Bring your friends and family along and enjoy the sun, sea and shopping.
We have some big weekends coming up in St Kilda: 26 January is Australia Day and 9 February is St Kilda Festival Sunday. First held in 1980, St Kilda Festival is one of Australia’s oldest and biggest street festivals. A Melbourne tradition, it is a celebration of summer, showcasing Australian artists and talents against the spectacular natural beauty of the St Kilda foreshore.
