What an incredible week we are having here in Melbourne with this lovely summer weather. This weekend looks to be a lovely 25°C, not too hot for a stroll on the Upper Esplanade and a spot of shopping at the market. Come and visit St Kilda this weekend, enjoy Luna Park with the kids, great food along Acland and Fitzroy Street, go for a swim at the beach and finish off with us on Sunday 10am to 5pm ‘St Kilda Esplanade Market’!
This weekend we are lucky to have two busking groups ‘Fruto de La Manga’, South American artists at the Clock Tower from 12pm to 3pm. Elena b Williams from 10am, on the grass area opposite stall number 1 (Luna Park end of the market). Elena B Williams is a three time Music Oz finalist and was featured on Pete Murray's album ‘Summer at Eureka’. Don’t forget we are open every Sunday of the year from 10am to 5pm. Bring your friends and family along and enjoy the sun, sea and shopping.
Meet our makers:
This week we are introducing one of our new market stallholders Imbi Mester of Woodooldoo. Imbi is located at stall number 5 and makes very cute hand crafted wooden ornaments, featuring bush and fairy garden scenes with cute characters, produced from natural products like gum nuts. Each one is made from an individual and unique piece of wood so no two are exactly alike. Imbi started with us in November last year as a casual and is now one of our permanent features on the St Kilda Esplanade Market.
