Our first week of December and what a week it’s been here in Melbourne, from hot summer days where our St Kilda beach was alive again with happy bathers to cold - wet days, umbrellas in hand. Let’s hope the weather evens out over the next few weeks so we can all enjoy the festive season. If you’ve had enough of the rain then come and see us this Sunday 8 December, and enjoy the sun with 29 degrees expected.
Visit us this weekend at the St Kilda Esplanade Market and help us kick off December with our local choir, St Kilda Sings. What a fantastic reason for you to stop by this Sunday, just another added bonus apart from the seaside location and shopping experience. If you are like me and love Christmas and this time of year, be at the Clock Tower opposite the coffee van at 1pm for the choir’s first set of Christmas carols. Their second set also at the Clock Tower will commence at 1:40pm, please stop and enjoy their lovely melodies.
St Kilda Sings is part of Creativity Australia’s “With One Voice” choir program. The choir rehearses every Monday under the musical direction of the fabulous and well-loved conductor Jolene Moran from 6.15 to 7.30pm at the Salvation Army Chapel (12B Chapel Street, St Kilda).
Don’t forget we are open every Sunday of the year from 10am to 5pm. Bring your friends and family along and enjoy the sun, sea and shopping.
There are lots of ways to stay in touch with us and keep up to date with what’s going. Don’t be shy – like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter, Instagram, #espymarket. If you’re not on social media that’s fine too, you can contact us via our website.
